Description
Build the M24 Chaffee is an American light tank from World War 2. In 1944-1945, 4731 units were produced. It successfully replaced another light tank, the M3/M5 Stuart. The Chaffee was equipped with welded armor, two engines and a 75 mm cannon, which was previously designed for the B-25 Mitchell bomber. It was the first Western Allied tank to use torsion bars as hinges. The tank was used in battles in France, Italy and the Third Reich. After the war, he remained in the service of American troops. He was very popular all over the world. The M24 was also used in the Korean War. Copies belonging to France fought in Indochina and Algeria. In the Vietnam War, they were used by the South Vietnamese Army.
